We only spent one night at the Marina Bay Sands hotel on a stopover while heading to Thailand. This hotel has gotten remarkable reviews, so thought we should give it a go while we were in town. The hotel itself is massive with 3 large buildings, which are all attached at the top with a large infinity pool, 3 restaurants and whirlpools, known as the “SkyPark”.
Although we didn’t have picture-perfect weather while here, we had to check out the pool as it’s listed as one of the top 10 hotel rooftop pools. We headed up 57 stories to the top of the hotel and was welcoming with breathtaking views of the city. We jumped straight into the pool and made a few runs over to the Jacuzzi. The view from the Jacuzzi wasn’t the greatest as we were overlooking a shipping port, but was nice to relax with no one else around.
Afterwards we decided to visit one of the three rooftop restaurants for a quick lunch. We ate at Sky on 57, overlooking the city, which is Asian Cuisine. The service here was good (not great), but the food was delicious. The view is one of the best which sells the restaurant regardless if the food was good.
The hotel has an endless list of activities and entertainment for any guest wants and/or needs. Shopping, casino, theatre or even driving luxury sports cars are a few of the many things to do while staying here. For me, it’s more of the experience in saying we were able to stayed here. I probably wouldn’t spend more than one or two nights, but is a great place to stay for a stop over.
