With our last chance to get some dirty American food before we head back to Australia, we always end up stopping here for poutine and wings. Probably not the best thing to be eating before jumping on a flight, but it’s always so tasty and can’t resist!
With 2 hours to kill at the airport, we stopped into the Friday’s American Bar & Grill for some greasy food, cold beers and to watch one of the World Cup games. The place is always jam packed, with most people waiting for a seat. It is rather tiny, with only maybe 15 seats with additional bar seating, which isn’t the best lay out for people with luggage.
The poutine was amazing! The fries where thin, which is perfect for a poutine and the gravy was hot enough that it melted the cheese perfectly.
I’m not a fan of the wings here, as they are a bit on the wet side, however still good to get one last feed in before heading back to the health craze we all live in.
This will continue to be our last meal when heading back to Australia. The service is reasonable for an airport pub and the food is served rather quickly. You really can’t ask for too much more from an airport restaurant.
