With over 35 years under their belt, Australia’s largest multi-art festival is back again. Showcasing more than 400 events by 6000+ artists around more than 160 venues across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, attracting more than 300,000 people, it’s safe to say this is one of Melbourne’s biggest art festivals.
The festival showcases both emerging and established artists from local and international communities in a variety of events throughout the festival. Events include exhibitions, comedy, dance, visual arts, circus, and music just to name a few. With hundreds of events taking place, there is something for all ages to enjoy. Some of Melbourne’s most recognizable spaces will be used for free events for those looking to get their feet wet in the arts community.
The festival runs as an Independent Arts Program, which helps help young artists develop their talents through the Festival Hub. The festival works year round to provide the tools and guidance of those up and coming artists to ensure they have the right support to follow their passion.
