Airport lounges have become a necessity for us with all the traveling we have been doing over the last few years. Before heading to the airport, we are always looking to see what lounge our Frequent Flyer status or credit card will get us in to.
We only had a few hours at Vienna airport before making the long journey back to Australia, so thought we would check out the Jet Lounge and make full use of the amenities available. The lounge is available for passengers departing from Gates B, C and D, which is located in the Plaza, just after boarding pass checkpoint 2 (across from the Swarovski Shop).
All passengers have the chance to use the lounge, regardless of their flying status. Entrance cost is EUR 29.50 per passenger, paid directly at the time of entrance. Alternatively, if you hold a boarding pass for first class, business class or frequent flyer cards to the below airlines are also able to enter the lounge at no cost.

We were at the lounge during the breakfast service, which including a small range of continental style items including pastries, breads, cereals and yoghurts, plus a hot item, which was eggs.
The bar is also open all day with a help yourself approach. Standard spirits were available as well as a local red and white wine. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are also available.
Overall, the lounge is your standard style lounge with basic amenities. If offers quick and simple foods, basic beverages and ample seating.
