Saint Barth’s is known for their luxurious lifestyle with high end boutiques, top French restaurants and the constant spotting of celebrities. We’ve been to Saint Barth’s on two separate occasions, and both times we came to Nikki Beach, nestled on the stunning beach of Saint-Jean.

Opening their doors in 2002,  the Nikki Beach group have several locations under their belt including Saint Tropez, Miami Beach, Ibiza, Bali, Monte Carlo and Dubai (just to name a few). With locations like these, it’s no wonder celebs and the like are constantly spotted here.

The brand is known for their trademark ‘tepee’ style fit out, with all white decor throughout. From the white sunbeds on the beach, to the white cushions on the day beds, the style is sophisticated and refreshing.  Leave it to the team to be at your beck and call throughout the afternoon, with 3, 6, 12 & 15L bottles of champagne and signature cocktails flying out the bar like water.

FOOD

Both times we’ve come to Nikki Beach, their food was stunning and perfect for the luxury beach life you are surrounded by. We started with a bottle of the Minuty Prestige, Côtes de Provence AOC Rosé, perfect for the mid summer heat we were experiencing.

We started with the ‘Calamars Falcón Provencale’ which was thin slices of sautéed calamari with garlic, parsley, tomatoes and olives. The calamari was fresh and cooked beautifully with wonderful flavours from the fresh tomatoes and parsley.

I wasn’t overly hungry, so decided to keep it simple with the ‘Salade Cesar de Saint Jean au Poulet’, Crisp romaine lettuce served with chicken, Caesar dressing, cherry tomato, crouton and Parmesan cheese. This was definitely one of the better caesar salads I’ve had. Although simple, the flavours were delicious and all ingredients fresh.

MC went with the ‘Magret de Canard Roti’, roasted duck breast, mashed potatoes, green salad with orange sauce. The duck was cooked beautifully, the mash potatoes creamy, and the jus bursting with flavour.

I will admit this isn’t the cheapest of places to head while in Saint Barth’s, however you won’t find too many places that are. This is the type of place that is exclusive with a certain clientele frequently visiting. It’s definitely worth a visit, even if it’s for a drink to experience the ultimate beach setting.
