Qantas Club Lounge
I find this lounge to be over crowded and noisy and finding a seat if you are travelling with more than one person can be challenging. You will often find that there are several people standing around having a drink while waiting for a seat.
The food in this lounge is your average antipasto spread with some meats, olives, cheeses, a soup of the day and and sometimes a hot dish. The hot dish is very hit and miss and the buffet itself is very basic. You have your basic bar with wine, beer and spirits and a coffee station for those looking for their caffeine fix.
The breakfast spread is much better than their lunch/dinner spread. I find they have more of a selection like your typical continental foods, fruit, toast, pancakes, yoghurt, etc.
Computers are available to use and workstations if you are on business and need to get some work done. Although it’s a large lounge, it does fill quickly, especially during the peak hours.
Business Lounge
If you have the opportunity to visit the first class lounge, this is where you want to be. There are far less people in this lounge which makes it a lot less quite. I find the staff at the business class lounge are more helpful with your flights as well.
I find the food and beverages in this area are higher quality with more of a selection. In addition to their buffet, they also have staff members going around with something to try (it changes all the time from hot savory foods to ice cream and desserts).
Their are showers in both lounges, however the showers in the business class lounge are slightly better. They do provide all the amenities for the shower including soap, shampoo, conditioner and towels.
