Such a great hump-day outing! The QV Market is the best place to go to break up your week and get out of the house. I’ve quickly learned that it’s best to head here straight after work. Our plan was to make it to QV Market right after work around 5:30 and eat straight away. This worked perfectly as there was no line ups and we were able to get a table without having to wait around for people to finish eating.
By the time we finished eating, the space quickly filled up and there were already lines for the food stalls (& people waiting for our seats).
Every cuisine you can think of is here. Polish, Mexican, Italian, Indian and the list goes on. Most places serve small dishes, which means you can sample a few different items if your indecisive like me. My two favourite stalls (besides all the amazing food) to visit are the “Green Essence Candles” and the “B’itchin Oils”. The staff at both these stalls are extremely friendly and have some wonderful products that are very reasonably priced.
It’s also necessary to get in a 20 minute massages that cost only $20. It’s well worth the money to let someone massage your back and shoulders after a long day at work. Even with all the people around, they seem to relax you to the point where you almost forget that there are so many people around you.
The Queen Victorian Markets are open every Wednesday night starting on the 1st of June until the 31st of August. Find unique treasures including jewellery, vintage clothing, art prints, home decor and more. In additional to the 60 plus food stalls, the QV market includes massages, personal caricature photos and live music.
