I instantly fell in love with Lucerne from the moment we drove into the old town. Being such a small town, our hotel was within close distance to all the main shops, restaurants and sights. Our first Switzerland experience in Zurich left a bad taste in our mouth and were hoping to start fresh at the Renaissance Hotel Lucerne.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They welcomed us with friendly, personable attitudes and ensured we were well looked after. Arriving to the hotel, we quickly learnt that their annual Lucerne Festival was on that same weekend, making parking almost impossible. Pulling up to the hotel, we were told the hotel car park was already full, however they had found us a spot at their sister property down the road and offered to drive our car their for us for the inconvenience. Any time we needed the car, they were happy to go and get it for us.
Walking in, the front reception area is quite small, with a small check area which is also the concierge to help plan your day. Although a small reception area, the fit out is done well to create a comfy lounge area and enough room for guests to move freely in and out.
Once checked in, we made our way upstairs to our beautiful, contemporary room. All rooms have been newly renovated, featuring LCD flat screen TV’s, fully stocked mini bar, complimentary WIFI, iHome docking station and a chic, stylish bedding and ornamental decor accents.
The bathrooms were beautiful with amazing rainfall showers, heated mirror pad, lighted makeup mirror and heated towel rack. Style and elegance all around in these newly retouched rooms.
