Well we’ve done it again… We’ve packaged an overnight bag, jumped on a plane and ended up in Malaysia for a 48hr getaway! How we do it? We are still scratching our heads with that one too. With a family wedding to be had, the wedding was booked at the gorgeous Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort & Spa, in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
The hotel is located less than 45 minutes from the International Airport and 30 minutes to the main city’s shopping district. Situated on the stunning beach of Pantai Dalit, the resort is split into two separate areas, the Garden Wing offering 326 guest rooms overlooking the impeccable gardens, and the more luxurious Ocean Wing, featuring 173 premier suites.
GUEST ROOMS
Since we only had 48hrs up our sleeve, we decided to treat ourselves and stay in one of their Ocean Suites. Each guest room here offer stunning neutral tones, deluxe bedding and separate lounge area. Features include in-room safe, complimentary mini-bar, extensive pillow menu and complimentary WiFi.
The bathrooms were just as stunning and completely separate from the main bedroom area. Separated by a dressing area, you walk into the bathroom with double sinks, to the left the shower and to the right the toilet.
Each room in the Ocean Wing offer a large balcony feature a private outdoor bathtub and daybed with stunning unobstructed views of the sea. This is the perfect place to sit back in complete privacy and enjoy the views this beautiful resort has to offer.
Included in your booking is complimentary breakfast at the Oceano Restaurant and an exclusive invitation for pre-dinner drinks and canapes in the Ocean Wing courtyard.
