On a weekend away to Sydney, we were lucky enough to arrive just in time for the Sydney Cellar Door Festival in Hyde Park. It was a beautiful weekend in Sydney, which made the festival that much more enjoyable. What better way to enjoy the sunshine than with a tasting of so many crispy and fruity white wines.
Showcasing small wineries throughout NSW, this festival brings culture to the heart of Sydney. A selected few pop up food stalls were also in attendance, which all worked fantastically for the type of festival this was. Everything from cheese, meats and olives to smoked meat on a stick and creamy gelato were all up for grabs.
Food and drink isn’t the only thing this festival has to offer. Amazing tunes keep the crowds entertained with 10 talented artists playing soul and rustic music to sit back and enjoy with your custom festival glass in hand.
Each of the 45+ winemakers were ready and eager to share what they have been working so hard on over the last few years. With tasting available at all tents, customers have the opportunity to chat with the winemakers themselves and can purchase on the spot if they like what they were tasting.
The festival is an annual event and is a great day out with friends and family. You simply by one of their custom tasting glasses (which is yours to keep at the end) and you receive 8 sampling tickets with your glass purchases. Head to any of the tents and start tasting!
