Between the February 10th to 21st, the Yarra Valley Ice Cream Festival will be in full swing. This year the festival will be hosted by the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery with a year’s supply of ice cream up for grabs.
The festival will showcase 12 new flavours each day of the festival, meaning you’ll be able to lick, spoon and scoop your way through 144 creamy taste sensations! We all know the Melbourne weather hasn’t been up to par with the rest of Australia, however that shouldn’t be holding anyone back from getting their frozen creamy fix over these 12 days.
Flavours will span across the board, with traditional flavours including vanilla, strawberry and chocolate plus more exotic flavours like honeycomb and lavender or lemon-myrtle sorbet. All flavours are created by the Yarra Valley Chocolatiers using natural ingredients, some of which come from items grown in their own backyard.
If you are a die hard ice cream fanatic like myself, you’ll want to pre-book for their ice cream tasting sessions. For just $12, you get the chance to enjoy a 30 minutes of exclusive tasting of 12 different flavours. Sessions run daily throughout the festival from 11am to 2pm and can be booked by calling 03 9730 2777.
The Yarra Valley Ice Cream Festival runs from February 10 to 21, 9am–5pm.
